They got left out of the playoff. I hapoen to agree with OP. We hired an all-time great coach but gave him middling money. Saban would struggle here with our checkbook. It’s just a reality few want to accept. Meanwhile, we hired Malone at $8MM per but he’s been given a top 3-5 budge to pull from. UNC football, meanwhile, has a top 30-50 budget.
