Is it money, or is it coaching, or is it both? (Long post)

Intel: Not sure why the in this thread should be "required reading." Everybody knows why we are where we are, it's been hashed and rehashed ad nauseum.
Not sure why the original post in this thread should be "required reading." Everybody knows why we are where we are, it's been hashed and rehashed ad nauseum. We all understand. Poor cash flow plus disastrous hire plus lack of NIL focus plus earth-shattering, landscape-altering rule changes that our athletic department failed to adapt to has led to a post-apocalyptic version of our football program.
What we are short on are solutions. We long for a heretofore hidden billionaire to ride to our rescue and put us on equal footing with our rivals. Us, the fans are forced to watch this play out as if it were a play and us the audience. We see our actors straining and preening and strutting on stage but we can also see the set behind them begin to collapse and fall all around them. It's embarrassing and amateurish and just a real shtishow. We cannot do anything to save the actors or their production. We are left to bear witness to the calamity unfolding in front of us, to read the critics unflattering reviews and to suffer the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune that have been put upon us by the Gods and men of college football. It f*cking sucks.
