Because Greg hands transfers starting jobs to portal players most of the time. They literally went after Portal guys who aren’t as good as guys in the roster. My favorite example was Malcolm Ray who was about as meh as he could be. FL State didn’t when want him back. GReg handed him money and snaps leading to Konga leaving. They knew AK was going to be gone last year. Surace desperately needed live fire. Got him like 30 snaps. Wow. That led to Lonergan who’s going to help us to 1-3 wins. This year they hit the program hard for LBs. once dud and one guy who woold be undersized at any top tier HS program.
