It’s like people did not read the fantastic article Charlie posted about Talty: “Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer and Talty’s teammates voiced their support for the kicker, as well as their displeasure with the negative reaction. That meant a lot to the UA specialist.” “That was amazing,” Talty said. “I think that was really what kick-started me turning over this leaf and really turning things around for myself and this team. Just guys coming up to me in the locker room at practice, like, ‘We got your back. We’re here for you.’ DeBoer saying he has full belief in me. Coach Nunez saying he has full belief in me. I mean, those guys are the guys in my corner. “This whole team is just a brotherhood, and that was something that really helped me to just turn over this leaf and start producing good on the field. Just knowing I’m not doing this for myself. I was never doing it for myself, but I’m always doing it for the team to help us win. And then, really seeing that physical reassurance from the guys. Guys I may not talk to all the time, but coming up to me and like, ‘Hey, man, we’re in this together. We see how you work. We’re proud of you, and just keep going. We got your back.’”
