The biggest issue to me is how long will Walton be out at left tackle. Jackson thought his injury didn’t look too serious at first but then he had his foot in a boot. Apparently Thorpe-Taylor slid over to RT from RG and had a pretty rough time of it. Have to wait now to see who’s out before they play musical chairs again. But if Walton can return soon that might make a considerable difference. Should wait for Jackson to jump in after the presser, but frankly I’m not too sure if it IS safe to come in off the ledge yet. If some guys can’t/don’t get healthy quick or the can’t really coach up their replacements quick, we could really be hamstrung on what we can expect out of the O line the rest of the season. I’ve calmed down myself since Saturday night and think Mandal’s development is certainly something positive. How much offensive production can be reasonably expected going forward just may depend on how much we can get out of the O line. Just my two cents.
