I totally get what you're saying and I agree. I also hate the "that flag in the 3rd quarter changed the outcome" kind of rhetoric. The other "could have" is that UK "could have" scored more. Stein completely took the foot off the gas and played the clock once up 31-14 with about 8 to go in the 4th. But to clarify, I'm saying that A&M was driving on us so they should have scored on that first drive. I'm saying, on that 4th & 1, A&M called an RPO. Based off alignment, the read should have been Greene and Reed was staring straight at him. Greene crashed hard and made the stop, but they had a TE wide open in the flat (which is why I feel confident about it being an RPO) and Reed 1-on-1 with a linebacker in space. That's more than just an easy conversion, that's a walk-in touchdown. I think that qualifies as a vacuum. I'm so impressed by Stein though. What he says gets executed.
