Random thoughts on Saturday's game
Summary
QB/OL: I thought there was a concerted effort to work the right side of the OL in the run game.
I thought there was a concerted effort to work the right side of the OL in the run game. It didn't work out great and we were much better running left. It's a little odd when the QB has a game rating of 139.8 and he's subject to great criticism, but the throws Hoover missed in the first half came at the worst time and cost us a couple clear scoring opportunities. It is important to keep in mind that his stats through three games are better than either Mendoza or Rourke. The defensive line has not been as disruptive as I thought they would be. That being said, I haven't seen any of the stunts that gave guys great opportunities last year. My guess is that will start to show this week.
