Film review of Oregon vs Portland State at Addicted to Quack
Summary
OL: Short term: with how they're playing right now, I don't think Addison-Rogers-Laloulu-Iuli-Crader is a winning configuration for 2026.
Short term: with how they're playing right now, I don't think Addison-Rogers-Laloulu-Iuli-Crader is a winning configuration for 2026. If they stick with that configuration, it's looking like a pretty flat arc of incremental improvement through late November. I would like to see an alternate configuration, with the particular questions that I'd like to get some data on before making any sweeping statements being: Crader at LT? Wilson at RT? Is Utu healthy? and more meaningful data for the true freshmen, not just as jumbo set additions or garbage time fill-ins. Long term: with the amount of talent, stability, and resources, with no portal shenanigans which they've enjoyed for the last four offseasons, there aren't any excuses. This many guys playing this poorly, and not knowing who your best five are out of camp, being surprised by regression year-over-year, and this happening twice including 2024 ... that's not a fluke, or an out-of-nowhere event that tests your depth. That means the fundamental thing you pay your OL staff to do has not been done, for years. There's only one long term solution to that.
