ESPN hits Tennessee with a slap in the face ahead of big game against Texas
Summary
OL/WR: Don't see that as a slap in the face.We have no idea how good or bad we are.
Don't see that as a slap in the face.We have no idea how good or bad we are. GA Tech is the closest team we've played with a pulse. And even they aren't very good. I want to see how the Oline holds up against a good Defense, if Faizon has time to throw and can make the right reads against elite talent. And can the DLine put pressure on Arch and help the secondary with the WR's Texas has and not give Arch all day to stand back there. If he's got all day back there, their WR's will have a field day..You can't ask any teams secondary to hold up against their WR's , especially if Arch isn't getting pressured. I honestly have no clue what to expect, we've got so many unanswered questions right now. Those will get answered on Saturday.. Hopefully the crowd gets to stay in the game for 4 Quarters and becomse an asset. Can we keep from making stupid and drive killing penalties? Can Heupel/Halzle put Faizon in good positions and not have some of those head scratching play calls we've all seen over the years that gets us killed? Sark has had some bad road game moments in his HC career and we need him to have another one on Saturday. The betting line is what's surprising to me. It dropped from 5.5 down to 3.5 earlier and is now back up to 5.5. Typically that's a sign of smart money coming in on TN early, and with the public betting Texas at 66%, it looks like the public is moving it back the other way towards Texas. That doesn't always mean anything, but definitely something to watch the rest of the week. Especially if the casual public bettors keep betting on Texas.
