We are. We are 2-1 , won games we should lost one we could have won. I know there are some vocal fans here about whose fault it is and perhaps Frost has to go. Yes, we have a $20 million dollar roster, but guess what, so does everyone else. Yes we are paying Frost $5 million, but guess what almost all P4 coaches are getting coin. Yes, our QB position has been vexing us since DG got hurt . All the criticisms have truth behind them. Stevie Nicks once sang, you can have your hurt and you can talk to me. Point is I'm not suggesting to anyone they can't be disappointed. If you donate like I do and buy season tickets you have skin in the game. I am saying we are UCF because as fan going back to the 80s, UCF has had some good teams and some bad ones. We have yet to string together an elite run like FSU did in the late 80s and 90s. Not saying we cant do it and definitely not saying we shouldn't strive to do it. I am suggesting we got lucky with XII invite and the dynamics of the sport totally shifted. We all know this. Twenty Million seemed like a kot a few years ago,but its nothing more than floor for most teams . Unless people step up , we aren't buying a $5 million QB. I see the argument get a coach to attract money to buy a $5 million QB. It takes money to make money. I suggest people pause. Let the season play out before getting so upset. My expectations are to have a winning season and go win a bowl. All of that is on the table. Freaking out about things which I can not control or even influence makes no sense. Seeing UCF for who are in this moment is ok.. waiting UCF to compete for titles is also great. We can do both as fans. TCU is winnable. TCU is a parallel image to us. Both beat the dog crap out of lower division team. Both lost close games to the ACC and both had fits with a Sunbelt team. Saturday is a big day to go 1 and 0 in the conference. This is at home , we can win this in spite of all the Injury drama. While the team may be going into its 4th game , technically its the second game for Keyone and the reconfigured O line. Which means you should see growth between week 1 and week 2 here. I am optimistic things can and will inprove. We are UCF. See you Saturday.
