It’s amazing that Patterson had NG Van Summeren into coverage against an All-American receiver like Duffy. Max also nails the critique on Stephens playing too tentatively rather than maintaining an aggressive, attacking mindset. I noted the exact same hesitation in the gameday thread —specifically at the 8:25 and 9:45 marks—where he just sits back instead of filling the gap. He mentioned that Wafle didn't sell out and overrun the play at the 11:45 mark. However Luke did over run a couple of plays from that end leaving it exposed. Max also nailed it that it looks like we are leaving points on the board. Even with 42 points score I don't think we look as potent as we did last year on Offense so far. I believe we should have been in the 56 point range in all 4 of our games this season thus far. I believe Max is a smart guy with really good football IQ. I remember mentioning here 2 or 3 years ago that Max would be an excellent guy for an Offensive Coordinator. That didn't go over well. I got more downvotes from that post that any thread since being on this board. I still believe that however lol.
