Always thought Ronnie's first fumble looked pretty suspicious. It's possible he didn't have his head in the game at that point. It's possible that he got a version of the yips after fumble #2. It would be pretty crazy to shave points with 4 fumbles and a dropped TD pass. Could there be anything more obvious? Maybe one fumble and a dropped pass. He did have 11 receptions in the game. Joe Namath had 6 interceptions in a game in maybe his third year and there was press speculation of a fix. He addressed that in his book and pointed out that you would never fix a game that way. You'd throw a few 6" too high or low or behind or ahead. Funny how the sieve of an Iowa defense never seemed to get much credit for the loss.
