This statement may not be totally fair--but it almost seems like CJ Carr in this offense is a GAME MANAGER. Shouldn't the ND coaches trust him a bit more? Open it up. --24 passes for your star QB. --Shortening the game/#of plays by Carr bleeding the play clock numerous times to within 5 seconds. We aren't Navy! The pace/tempo with a QB like this is absurd!! --Go for the throat with your star QB. After the opening big play to Gilbert--2 consecutive run stuffs. I know they want to work the run game, but Carr is not being maximized. And neither is the offense. Another example--right after the Shuler pick--Instead of of letting Carr go for the throat they run and get stuffed. Stop treating Carr like a game manager at QB.
