No offense to Alley and his scheme as I think it can work against Okie State but I think a Hecock defense (prior ISU 3-3-5) defense would be the best way to attack this offense. Bringing the safety’s up from deep gives certain advantages. The safety’s can charge up for run support or stop mid charge and cover receivers. Shutting down the run to negate the play action pass will be big. Communication is more important than any game this year. Being able to get pressure with 4 will be critical. Disguising coverage will also play a huge role. Everyone will have to be disciplined and not try to do too much. I think Zac is creative and multiple enough to get enough key stops provided everyone gets on the same page and it starts now. A lot to ask for as their O-line looks good at pass protection but i think we get it done. We will win provided we are the most physical team and can weather a couple storms.
