Stutz is an Idiot
Summary
QB/OL: The best case scenario for this offense is a 7-win season.
The best case scenario for this offense is a 7-win season. Worst case is 3 wins like last year. It's a flawed design and is too complex for college players to adapt to. One of the fundamental problems with these types of offenses is the limited amount of practice time available to players. NCAA limits on the hours per week and days of practice really can hamper the competent adoption of complex offensive and defensive schemes. This is one of the reasons why many colleges run simple offenses. Compared to what pros run, colleges really run vanilla type offenses. You just are not allowed the necessary number of reps in practices to adopt complex schemes. I'm convinced that SJS needs a new OC and a more conventional scheme to be successful. And we need an offensive scheme where the OC is not afraid to put the QB under center to run sneaks and power runs in short yardage situations.
