[Like]0 [Dislike]0 Quote from: parshall2marshall on Yesterday at 02:27:50 PM With the staff starting to use Wilkins creatively as I ( and of course others ) have repeatedly called for, I'd say more than a 75% chance at 7-5. If not 7-5 then a tiny possibility of 6-6. Assumes Cole P. does not embarrass us of course. @JMU and @ODU seem to be almost certain losses. Would love to be erroneous, but 4-4 in the SBC seems like the right call. I agree that including him more increases our chances, but if we're going to be .500 let alone +.500 on the seaon then our starting QB has got to be a better QB. Carlos has just 307 passing yards through 9 quarters of play over 3 games. I know we run our QB a lot, but he has to do more as an actual QB. It's part of why we faceplanted last year. Our offense gets too predictable and while he struggles to be a effective passer on a consistent basis, he struggles even more the more banged up he gets. If Carlos can average between 250-300 yards passing and 50-70 yards rushing per game with 4-5 TDs between the two then we could probably get to 8 wins. If we continue to just call his number and running him up the middle into a wall of defenders then he's going to get beat up and turn the ball over and we'll be lucky to get to 5 wins. Having a weak OoC will make reaching 6 easier than last season, but it still won't be pretty if we play him like it?s the 1950s.
