Final Thoughts on NC State's 35-31 Loss to Vanderbilt with Michael Clark | Coffee With Cory
Summary
Pick/market: Our coaches dialed up the dumbest formation possible for us to be in.

People absolving our coaches of blame in this situation is insane to me. There are about 100 ways you could plan to take a safety in that situation (different formations, personnel, etc) and our staff picked the worst possible one. Condensing everyone in, no threat of a punt, or a pass to a WR … allowing them to rush 11. Allowing them to do a fg block from our own 5 yard line with no repercussions or an exit plan. Put the punt team on the field and they at least have to put a return man back there…nope. WR out wide? They at least have to put someone out there to cover him… nope Yes, planning to take a safety is the right call (no *****). The staff failed in their strategy on this one, not the decision itself.
