QB's only see the defensive field half the time at best. With a O-line getting beat by a three or four man rush reduces field vision and timing even more. Without an alternative, Weaver fell into that trap. Hard for me to believe our offensive staff didn't watch tape of Fresno's D-line and CB's and didn't create a game plan to combat their strengths. Running game was good, but not good enough to overcome an ineffective passing game against their D. It looked like we just threw out the "same ole same ole". Throwing deep along the sidelines was not good strategy, a shorter passing game plan, run draws, screens, and crossing patterns would have given them a better chance and might have provided an deep throw opening on occasion....
