AUSTIN, Texas – Entering Saturday's Southeastern Conference opener at No. 14 Tennessee, the No. 1 Longhorns' first availability report of the season provided a mixed bag of results regarding the availability of several key players. Wednesday night's report saw star EDGE Colin Simmons listed as probable, giving Texas their leading pass-rush threat (4 tkls, 3.5 tfls, 2 sacks) for the matchup against the Volunteers. However, the Longhorns' defensive line depth will be tested as sophomore defensive tackle Justus Terry will miss his third consecutive contest with a foot injury, suffered in pregame warmups prior to the Ohio State game on Sept. 12. Terry's being ruled out comes as Texas will face the country's fourth-highest rushing attack. Josh Heupel's club enters Saturday's showdown averaging 298.7 yards per game on the ground – and Wednesday's report saw Vols running back DeSean Bishop was notably absent from the list, after suffering a hip injury in the team's 42-9 win over Kennesaw State last Saturday. As Arch Manning and the Longhorns head to Knoxville to take on Faizon Brandon and the Vols, we turn to Patrick Brown of GoVols247, part of the 247Sports Network, to learn more about a Tennessee team looking to score an early-season upset.
