(original post) This week’s game against Minnesota starts at 8 p.m. I can’t emphasize how important it is to allow plenty of time to arrive and enter the stad... show more Mrs. Finau seems like a great lady, and I'll always root for Paki to have success in his life and career; seem like a wonderful family and him a good kid. I think Paki wanted to be a starter at UW more than UW was ready for him to be a starter. She said that he was willing to play Guard but it sounds like UW put Champ and Geirean (and their combined money) as more of a priority over Paki starting there. I would not be surprised if BYU made them such a good offer (with time limitations) that Paki and his family felt like UW didn't want him because they didn't react quickly enough (with enough $$). Was it the right call? I don't know, Paki has way better feet than Champ, but Champ is way stronger than him and is a more suitable guard long-term imo. Paki can play tackle in college but will have to (get stronger and) move inside in the NFL. Troy Fautano is an anomaly at the position, but I'll root for him if he proves me wrong.
