Even a half effort might have sprung the runner enough to pick up a first down. SORRY but CKS will not tolerate that. So they did not make much of an effort to retain him. Selfish players do not do well in Athens. When he gets drafted he will be limted to teams whose schemes do not require WRs to block. Just watch. You are seeing only part of the picture. If Evans had shown any interest in doing the OTHER portion of a WR's job here, CKS would have done all he could to retain him. That is his methodolgy. But Evans went to the portal and UGA did not try very hard to retain him. That was my point. OF COURSE, he wanted to be "the man" and that does not fit in CKS' culture.
