Because you are so fond of Claude's return to play estimate, I asked Claude a much more pertinent question: "Has there ever been a documented case of an NFL running back or college Division 1 running back suffering a spiral fracture of the femur and returning to play again after having it surgically repaired."
Here's what Claude said:
"I'll give you the honest state of the evidence rather than a name that might not hold up. Short answer: not clearly, at running back specifically. A true mid-shaft spiral fracture of the femur in an RB, surgically repaired (typically with an intramedullary nail) with a documented return to play, doesn't show up as a known, named case -- at either the NFL or D1 level. So the honest answer is: femur fractures in football are rare enough, and running back specifically rarer still, that I can't point you to a confirmed, named RB case with a documented return to play."
I am pulling for Ahmad to beat the odds. But it's time to stop with the foolish predictions of his iminent return.
