He also had an amazing strength and conditioning staff who built the players up physically and kept them in great shape. Post 2015 we lost that S&C staff, and I don't know what else happened... but having hurt QB's every season along with other key positiones really has not helped. I agree with you that Hardy was a big loss, and losing backups hurt even more. But that's the game and it is "next man up"... as crass as that sounds.
