Today's Dillingham comments on ASU's offense
Summary
Injury: the other thing is that CK talked alot about how good the OL looked.
snakeyjbaby said... (original post) Exception to the rule being Skatt… show more For sure. And the other thing is that CK talked alot about how good the OL looked. The biggest disagreement I have with the Kyson haters is that "he runs right into tackles". What I have seen is a guy that hit the hole hard, runs hard, and has really good breakaway speed. His weakness is shiftiness in tight spaces. Well if you expect your line to be really good then Kyson's style is probably a better fit than JB's who CK has stated sometimes misses where the play is designed to go and is less trustworthy to carry out his assignments. I think what we might be seeing is a situation where Dilly realizes, especially with our interior injuries, that we are not going to dominate at the line of scrimmage, so we need someone that operates better in tight spaces. Prior to the KU game I don't feel this was evident. So I think the bye week after game 3 is the perfectly appropriate time to have a shift in thinking and scheme. The misdirection looks and other stuff is better suited to JB's strengths than Kyson's possibly. \ This board just looks at things too simplistically. Play better RB, period. That is not how gameplans and preparation work. I am sure when JB and Man Man were going to be our options against Duke, we prepared much differently during the week.
