Can't believe we are less than two hours till kickoff and I just had this FLASH from the PAST. I attended the infamous UT vs Auburn game on September 28, 1985 in Knoxville (Section X2). Sports Illustrated showed up in force that day as they were covering Bo Jackson, and fully expected to place him on their cover after they put a whoopin' on the Vols. But WAIT, the Volunteers from Tennessee shocked the sports world and beat the Auburn Tigers handily 38-20. Low and Behold, when that weeks edition of SI came out, who was on the cover? Bo? Nol!!! It was Tony Robinson, who led the Vols to an unexpected hard fought victory in front of a national audience. Soooooooo my VN friends, anyone else drawing the deja vu comparison???? Hmmmm?? Could young Faizon Brandon become the poster boy for ESPN and replace their golden boy Arch Manning?? Hmmmm?? Go Vols and lets kick some foghorn longhorns back to Austin!!!
