A lot of memorable plays he made in 24 were off scrambles where the defense broke down & WRs came open. His bread & butter were Simon & Rocket. He was never a great pocket passer who could sit back & pick a defense apart. Remember, it took Lamar Jackson a few years to be recognized as a great passer & not just an athlete playing football. I don’t think the switch is going to flip this year for LS, so the scheme needs to focus more on what he does well. We’ll see how good Briles really is, both as a QB developer & customizing the offense to play into LS’s strengths (which is a claim he made when hired).
