It’s not own the line of scrimmage. It’s quick angle blocks and pushing everyone through the same hole.
That’s why I like power I runs with a fullback like AOD. Army runners hit the hole at full speed, right from the time that the ball is snapped.
When they push inside it’s a numbers game. With 4 down DL, if LBs are slow to react (even by a step), OL + Lead Blocker + ball carrier will find a numbers game somewhere along the line and get 3-4 yards every time.
We rarely made the drive stopping plays (0-1 yard run on first down or a negative play any down)
When they are driving the ball and making it apparent in the second half that they have us figured out. We need to try to do something to shake them up.
