GAME DAY Thread: Badgers looking to pull off upset in Big Ten Opener

Pick/market: STATE COLLEGE, Pa.
GAME DAY Thread: Badgers looking to pull off upset in Big Ten Opener STATE COLLEGE, Pa. –Wisconsin football closed out the non-conference schedule 54-10 over Eastern Michigan, to finish the three-game slate at 2-1. Now, the Badgers will begin Big Ten play, with a road trip to take on 13th-ranked Penn State.  One of the biggest challenges in the matchup will be stopping and slowing down one of the better and more experienced quarterbacks in the nation, Penn State's Rocco Becht. And earlier this week, Wisconsin head coach Luke Fickell spoke about the key task at hand.  "Obviously, we've watched a lot. I've seen him play a lot of ball. You know, not just for the first three games this year, but in particular, you know, in that system-wise. And, you have seen a growth." "I think that's the thing that in the first three weeks of the season, maybe you haven't seen a ton of who they are and what they want to be able to do, because, you know, I'm not saying they've held back, but you know, they have been in really good positions for most of those games." "But Rocco is a guy that's obviously very experienced, whether it's in this league or another league. He gives them a lot of options and a lot of different things. You know, he's a dual threat guy that hasn't had to use his feet a ton," Fickell said.  The Badgers opened as a 10.5 point underdog, and now the line has been hovering around 9.5 points, with Penn State favored at home.  Badger247 will be live from Beaver Stadium for the matchup.  Follow along for pregame news and notes, in-game coverage, interaction, and more all night long.
