My opinion is this one isn’t close. 42-14. Arguably the strength of our team is linebackers and nickel position at this point. QB and WRs are beginning to click. Rice has averaged 17pts a game. Granted they played Notre Dame. But they also played Houston Christian, so that cancels out. They’ve given up 28pts per game. Again, they played Notre Dame but also Houston Christian. Even if Fresno State was the equivalent of the average Rice opponent so far this season, that’s 28-17 ‘Dogs. But I think Mandal is hitting a stride and Rice’s offense plays to the advantage of this defense. We lead the conference in fewest points allowed, 3rd in fewest yards allowed, tied for first in sacks, and second in fewest rushing yards allowed (114 per game). I just don’t see this going well for Rice.
