Plenty of teaching moments already on tape. Winning ugly builds character. Our new QB - even while missing 3 gimmes in the first half - and 2 of our top 3 RB weapons - still threw 66% for 201, and led us to victory with 17 second-half points. Our defense gave NW 32 yards on 27 carries, and forced Chiles to play big or lose big. He played big - even while taking 4 sacks. I’m OK with all that, and expect us to get better - because our staff are the best football teachers on the college planet. Coach em up and get em outta town a couple days and give em some breathing space - and let them work out some kinks against Rutgers. As coaches love to say - “all of our goals are still in front of us.” Sic ‘em.
