This is the year that Matt Patricia needs to dig deep into his experience and ear his ridiculous $$$$$ salary. Last season, he got away with the best "up the middle" OSU defense, perhaps ever, with KMac, Reese, Styles, and Downs....until he had to get creative in the last 2 games during crunch time, and he COULDN'T be a difference maker with his coaching creativity. This season, he has talent on D, but outside of the defensive backfield, there is no one on this starting D who the NFL is eager to get their hands on. Patricia HAS to be a difference maker with creativity and unpredictability. He HAS to use the talented but inexperienced youngsters more often, situationally, to get pressure on the QB and add more negative plays. If we are honest, Patricia has not earned his $$$$$$$$ yet. Not in '25 crunch time, and not in '26 despite the 1st half confusion of an often confused Arch Manning.
