Minus 18 Players, Georgia Tech Runs out of Gas in the Second Half
Summary
Injury: Yes but any team not perennially ranked in the top 10 missing 8 starters and key backups would become susceptible.
Yes but any team not perennially ranked in the top 10 missing 8 starters and key backups would become susceptible. Just look at how much the NFL changes week to week based on the availability of their players. We are missing our best DE, the entire secondary, and 3/5 OL. Yes there are injuries but this is eerily similar to 2015. They were down their entire secondary and we went for almost 500 yards too. The refs definitely impacted the game, but they did it pretty evenly. We just happened to get our turn in the pivotal 3rd quarter. Final thoughts are with younger players, eye discipline is already hard. Compound that with having to do it at 2am body clock and the result adds up. If we can get healthier thru the bye then maybe we can avoid complete collapse. We could also use Petty being a 5*. This season’s expectations changed after last night. Clemson was able to talent through, we were not. Key will have these boys keep fighting. If they don’t, then Key has lost. I hope we can get this train back on the tracks.
