Pick/market: I don’t think you grasp the progression in football.

You’re crying about the quarterback only being a fresh... show more I don’t think you grasp the progression in football. There’s a big step up in every level. Brandon just saw a speed of the game go to warp factor with Texas. Did he miss some open receivers? Yes! So did the senior Manning. what reasonable people are focusing on is that a true freshman qb didn’t turn the ball over, didn’t make stupid mistakes and got sacked 10 times. That’s what happens when the average 274 olineman goes against the average 34 defensive lineman. All off season everyone agreed there would be issues with a freshman qb. There’s a reason we haven’t started one in 22 years. This should have been Nico’s sr campaign. So, you can’t blame the staff because Nico turned out to be an a$$ wipe. This wasn’t the plan to have a freshman. Now that what we ALL knew would happen, happened, fans act like their hair is on fire. I’ve been around a long time. I’ve seen this before. The last time a true freshman beat a top ten team was 2015. That top ten team ended up 8/5. A true freshman beating a true number one contender is exceedingly rare. Facts are stubborn things. But I understand that fans get hysterical. That’s why they’re fanatics. They’re fans. It’s the way it’s supposed to be.
