As much as the offensive line is progressing, they still aren't at a point where they can get push and manhandle a front seven selling out to stop the run. I don't think it's really a matter of the package not working as much as we just are not at a point yet where we can win at the line of scrimmage when is 1 yd or less to go. Until the offensive line improves over the course of the season, I would like to see us in a 12 personnel pistol formation in these short yardage situations. Just so that there is a threat of passing the ball to keep them honest. I.e. that touchdown pass to Hairston against Maryland.
