It's always frustrating when a team can't close out a game. I feel for them. I'm curious to see how the coaches will respond after a loss like this. On defense, coaches need to focus more on tackling hard all game long, blitzing, and stopping big plays in the fourth quarter. Offensive line coaches should strengthen the linemen's technique, coach them to protect the quarterback in passing situations, and create running lanes, especially in short-yardage situations. Special teams need an overhaul, particularly in the punting game. Coaches have one job this morning: encourage the players to stay determined and keep fighting. In BOB’s post game conference he sounded like he thought LaFolette did a good job punting? I guess he did make a tackle, which is good. And I’m sure punting in that weather is extremely hard. But i don’t think he’s been great. And they need to work on the punt returning. Try catching and running for god’s sake. Have we even caught a punt all year? So weird.
