Snap counts, grades from Clemson's gritty, defensive win over Cal on Friday
Summary
Pick/market: A win is a win.
A win is a win. Clemson won its third consecutive game on Friday night, doing so on the West Coast on a short week. The Tigers downed Cal 24-10 in Berkeley to move to 2-0 in league play. It wasn't a great night for the true freshman quarterback, but 159 yards from Gideon Davidson and a 65-yard punt return touchdown from Bryant Wesco Jr. sealed the deal on a night where Clemson didn't give up an offensive touchdown. Elliot Washington II recorded two more interceptions after getting one against North Carolina last week. The Tigers will need to play their best game next week when Miami comes to Death Valley. But, before we move on, we always take a look back at what happened. The Tigers had a total of 23 offensive players on the field — 22 defensive players got in on the action. Here's how much everyone played, and how they were graded individually by PFF: Note: Grades of 85+ are an NFL-caliber rating, while a grade between 84-79 is considered 'very good.' Anything from 78-68 is considered 'above average.' 60 is considered 'average' as that is where each player's grade begins and then goes up or down from there. Below average grades range from 50-59, and anything below 50 is considered 'poor.'
