There are running QBs/dual threats and there are pocket passers. Avery is that very special third kind: neither. He is not a pocket passer and he isn’t/refuses to be a runner. Avery is the outside run version of CK7 if I had to define him as a type of player. The only reason his passing skill level is tolerable is if defenses have to fear him running the ball. If we refuse to run him, then we are going to lose a lot of very winnable games this season.
