I have to remind myself that it’s only been 6 years since Wally finally left and, even though Pines hamstrung the University by retaining I Just Got Here, we’ll soon be fully headed in the right direction (special shout out to SMU for helping us resect our cancer). As for who is hired as the next football coach, put me in the “I don’t care” category. All that matters is that a thoughtful process and vetting is followed and at least today, there is some hope of that happening. I say “some” because there are still mets left of the Shitbag Wally cancer that are under the University’s skin and working on killing the patient. Slow progress toward some semblance of normalcy is about all we can ask for at this point. Let Jim do his job.
