There is no tradition of winning. Miss State is similar, but might get a nudge because of the SEC> So we need all that external stuff to disappear, VT as program needs to play with a chip on their sholder. Play like I dont give a damn what the ACC voters, or conference thinks we are going to dominate, for national, we are just going to dominate. This type of arragance was the same as the 1997-99, us against the world. However, VT from last year to this involves a TOTAL re-engineering of the Athletic Dept, with 1) funding, 2) removing the incompenent worker bees who knew nothing about managing top national program, hired a national coach who knows how, to organize fund staff and build teams at a national level. This effort doesnt take just 1 year, however, things happen when you have competent folks running the show. (also some Hokie Fans have PDST for the last 7-9 years of VT football. (just like the poll voters). So every screw up is micro analyzed and judgements that the program is going back to crap..
