Heupel missing on Nico put us in this 2026 mess, but we had a chance to get a bridge year QB from the portal, and the boosters wouldn’t pay for who Heupel wanted. We should never live down the shame of having Kiffin come and pick up Leavitt from the Knoxville airport. ”He’s just a freshman” isn’t an excuse; it’s a reason, and what’s going to happen to us this year was IMO a foregone conclusion from the day we failed to get a top portal QB, and top interior OL portal guys.
