I’m not crashing out, but last night was profoundly disappointing. It wasn’t just that we lost, it’s that for like 60% of the game, it looked like we didn’t belong on the field (our field in prime time) with them. I’m ok with that in year 2 against TTU or BYU…but OSU was god awful last year and basically completely hit the reset button. This is a peer that we had a year had a year head start on…and we got punked. It’s one game and I see definite progress from last year. But I don’t see the leap we were all hoping for. We’re still very one dimensional on offense, our OL is improved but not good enough to be dominant, and our D is an absolute garbage fire. Unfortunately, this team looks much more like a 6-7 win team than an 8-9 win team. That’s better, but still a lot of work to do, and the fact that OSU seems to be ahead of us already makes the incremental progress frustrating.
