JohnTDD said... (original post) I bet they portal for a one year bridge under center. Just my opinion. show more I did not say we don't bring in a portal QB for next year. What i said was we don't need to spend the money on a QB. Generally speaking, you would like to have 4 scholarship guys in the QB room. However, the QB transfer would likely be more like a Blaine Hipa than a DM - i.e. somebody more interested in the Fuqua degree and a nice cap to his college career than dreams of the NFL. Maybe a tranasfer who is a step up from Hipa but somebody we don't really expect to compete for the starting job. I think we have two talented guys in Walker and McPherson behind Mahan, and I think maybe it's time we show we are a developmental program at QB. I would not want to lose any of them. Mahan showed me a diversity of passing skills on Saturday and confirmed he has the arm as well as the wheels. Spend our big money next year on Nate. What we have left spend as appropriate as determined by the Staff.
