We are playing without Lucas, Frederique & Antoine, and Damari didn’t play yesterday, which means 4 of our top 5 DBs are out. Fitz, an all American caliber safety, slid down to corner to pick up the slack, and we’re starting a true freshman safety in Fritz’s spot. And we are STILL #2 in total defense!!!! And by the way, we had 44 pressures against Wake, 3 sacks, a safety…which would’ve been a sack in the end zone, and we legit could’ve had 8-9 sacks if it weren’t for all those holding calls. Let all that sink in, man! Can we be better? Absolutely! But I really like where his defense is at. When the back end guys return, we’re gonna have a whole lot of experienced depth in November.
