You are Spot-on regarding expectations for Mizzou vs Expectations for Drink. The "Fire Drink" and "He cant coach" group have been out in full force on social media since Saturday night. I literally just told somebody that if Drink leaves the next coach wont fare as well. You are correct in stating that perhaps averaging 8 wins per season is the current position Mizzou is in. We have top 30 NIL funds, and tend to hover around the top 30. We do NOT have Top 10 NIL Funds, and in the near future will likely not. Perhaps some magician of a coach can occasionally take a top 30 NIL team and once every 4-5 years make the CFP. By the way, that is basically what Drink did, just a year early. The one difference I see from your column is I do believe there is a path for a 3 loss SEC team to make the CFP. With the extra conference game I really don't see 5 to 6 10-win teams. I see 2, Georgia and maybe Texas. Florida has a possible path to 10 wins, but I expect a first year coach and team to have a few hiccups. Point is 3-5 SEC teams will go to the playoffs, if there are only 2 with 2 losses.....
