The way they approached the portal didn’t seem like this was a playoff “make or break year.” Needed linebackers and safeties but spent big to bring in the #1 hs class instead. The best players on the team are young guys. It’s year 5, should be a playoff year but the roster building didn’t tell that story unless Bowden is building without LR in mind which would be odd with a $70 million buyout. With the roster being young and the schedule, this was always a 9-3 or 8-4 team in my eyes with 27 being the year to really go after it but again I get it’s year 5 and more results are needed
