Dante was hell bent on the first down over his safety. The minute the QB turns into a runner he should be treated like any other running back. Defense is taught to pursue and hit. If Dante didn’t slide and tried to truck him over he’d probably be okay. But Des was lowering to hit him like any other ball carrier. He was already getting low, Dante started a slide. Head meet shoulder. Celebrations after are absolutely dog. But I have no issue with his intent regardless of the outcome. The aftermath has already been opined to death
