Kip Lewis

I saw that Tom and Brody commended Kip for his play in the game yesterday, and rightfully so.
In addition to his play, two other things stuck out to me (from my seat 6 rows from the top of the stadium in Athens):
1) His energy and passion - he seemed to stay focus and hyped for so much of the game, even when it seemed over (which was fairly early).
2) His leadership and encouragement - maybe the single most impressive thing Kip did on Saturday was after Mateer fumbled the ball and stayed on one knee with his head bowed while the UGA player ran it back for a TD. Mateer was alone on the field, walking off with his head down, and Kip ran out from the sideline to meet him, at least to the near hash marks, put his arm around him, patted him, talked to and clearly encouraged him. Of course, that's what a team leader should do, but Kip was the first (only?) one from OU's sideline that I saw do that, especially that far out onto the field. Some might say that Mateer didn't deserve the encouragement based on his play, but I was impressed with Kip's actions in that moment.
