BV constantly talks about complementary football, but fields teams that are good on special teams and defense, without the complement of a competent offense. It is year five and there is a huge disconnect between BV's words and the product on the field. I like BV and want him to succeed, but that was an embarrassment last Saturday. It does not matter how good the defense is if your team gets slaughtered. The last two weeks Georgia played Arkansas and Oklahoma, and the Hogs and Sooners looked like each other. Georgia slaughtered both. That is a depressing observation. As a fan, all I can do is sit back and watch what happens the rest of the season. There may be more embarrassments to come in places like Dallas and Gainesville. Even worse, the Sooners may get cowbells shoved up their rear-end in Starkville. Will Oklahoma even be competitive in all the games the rest of the way? Are there more slaughters to come? That is how far OU football has fallen in year five under BV. Will it be better in Year Six?
