I hate Polls and I Hate Bias
Summary
Injury: While I agree the polls are currently inaccurate, you really can't have a poll in the first few weeks of the season with no bias whatsoever.
While I agree the polls are currently inaccurate, you really can't have a poll in the first few weeks of the season with no bias whatsoever. Then, beating Boston College is the same thing as beating Ohio State.
If they want to get rid of arbitrarily putting a number next to 25 teams all season, I'm fine with it. Only use the CFP, which starts in November and allows for more data points. Makes sense to me.
I generally think these polls hurt the little guy in the beginning of the season and they overvalue the little guy at the end of the season (they'll have an 11-1 Sun Belt team ranked ahead of an 8-4 SEC team that would eat its lunch and be favored by double digits on a neutral field).
