Sure, Tanner made bad hires. A lot of them. We don't like the contracts for those bad hires, nor the timing of the extensions of several bad hires. But financially, Tanner left the AD in really, really good shape. You don't do $350M stadium upgrades if the school is not in a position to dump a $27M turd. Donati has plenty of money to hire a top head coach in football. Beamers buyout will be paid over time, unless he negotiates a lump sum payment. In Muschamp's case that saved us about $2M. In Beamer's case, I wouldn't be surprised if the buyout ends up being under $20M. Either way, there will be enough money to hire and fire whenever Donati is ready to hit play.
